St Thomas Hospital

In January 2014 we began work on installing a complete diurnal lighting system in the: Emergency Care Path (ECP) at St Thomas' Hospital, London.

Through use of our MID130, MID200, and PREMLED fittings with MODE controls we have been able to create a setting that provides patients with an improved environment which in turn boosts morale and mood and aids the healing process. The system will also improve the hospital staff's well-being and also substantial energy savings.

At night time, the staff is able to have full control of the lighting at the staff bases which enables them to work under sufficient light levels whilst the rest of the ward is lit to an ideal sleeping setting.

In the ward combining the use of DMX and DALI controls, we have been able to create an environment which mimics natural sunlight emission. An essential feature due to lack of windows.
