Braintree Hospital

Braintree Community Hospital was a design and build project. MID supplied all of the interior and exterior lighting for the hospital, including clean room fittings for the clinical wards.

The CAIRO and BOSTON bollards were used to light the car parks and walkways into the hospital, ensuring the required lighting levels for a car park were reached. The CASPER wall mounted IP65 luminaire supplied with a hood attachment were used along the walls also to control the amount of light pollution to the surrounding areas.

A specially developed MIR700 IP65 with a satin louvre was designed for the clinical areas as a client preference. MID200 downlights were used in circulation areas for general illumination. They were supplied with a drop glass attachment for aesthetic reasons. The MID200 were also supplied for the reception/foyer areas, these were supplied without an attachment.
